The VDA QMC Standards are drafted by the QMC project groups.

The members of the project groups are seconded for the duration of the project to contribute their knowledge and practical experience to the development of the QM standards.

The result is usually presented as a so-called “yellow volume”, which can be commented on by all stakeholders during a three-month objection period. Only after this feed-back has been taken into account is a new QM standard published and the project group discharged.

Thanks to the strong participation and cooperation of both manufacturers and the supply chain, a collective “state-of-the-art” is created.

VDA QMC China is translating those standards into Chinese to facilitate better understanding and wider distribution in the Chinese market. At the same time, in response to the revision of certain existing standards and the formulation of new ones, VDA QMC China has established corresponding working groups and project groups in accordance with the operational mechanisms of German headquarters. By incorporating practical experience, technical require-ments and industry feedback from the Chinese market at the early stage of standard development period, it ensures that Chinese perspectives are fully discussed and reflected in the standard-drafting process.
